Nearly 8,000 people attended the first ever CureFest in Humble, TX on Saturday, July 28th. 12 members from Tiger-Rock Martial Arts of Atascocita whose ages ranged from 6 to 16 preformed during the event. During their 35 minute demo, the students performed the Ho-Am Form and showcased different traditional patterns as well.

The Atascocita students were in good company during the event as a number of other demos and bands performed. Among the musicians included Javiar Colon, a contestant from The Voice.

CureFest was organized by the friends and family of Phil Baumann who was diagnosed in September 2011 with an incurable form of brain cancer. The donations that were raised during CureFest will be donated to benefit cancer research at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Research Institute in Houston, TX.
